as some of you may have read on the LL blog from two days ago - Casinos, Gambling, Sploder, Lucky Chair - all of the things rewarding you with money by " luck " are no more in SL!
and if you still do it, or get caught or someone tells on you - your ass is going to be in major trouble, dealing with your state laws, taxes, and ban from SL.
i thought at first its another LL scare, just like the age verfication they'd announced a few month back, through some 3rd party age verifier.
but no, this time LL was serious, as in what they call " wagering ".
i was a avid gambler'ette, more sporadic in these past few month, but at one time i was pretty much addicted to these " easy money machines ", lost hundreds of rl dollars and gained little but some back.
one of my last big gambling wins was a nice chunk which allowed me to buy the land i have in Vodou ( next to the Crackden )
but as of lately, i made it a habbit to gamble small but efficient to make some money to pay my land tier fees. and it sure helped. a couple hundred L's here and there paid for tierfees or bought me land and clothing.
i gambled last night, i won good but lost again. i thought, fuckit this is all goingto end soon " maybe ". but the maybe was a definetly as of today! when i logged into sl and checked on most popular places - most if not all BIG casinos went boum. all of them closed down! from ace, to goldrush ( my favorite ), to 12 monkeys, 777 gambling - these places are all gone.
i flew to the landmarks at the popular 20's, only to find myself in between bushes and terraformed empty grasland.
wow........i mean i was really really shocked to see everything gone gone gone. i went to about 20 some places, with traffic, that most places can only dream off and its now nothing but an empty spot.

now the casino's pulled their plugs big time and left in hordes. i can not imagine how much these guys paid in private sims, in advertizements, in dealing with retarded customers.
i thought this must feel like the " black friday" back in the days, when the stockmarket broke down - some people lost their rl income and now sitting on land that will be hard to even sell. regardless what the traffic is/ was - thats a gone bye by no more.
the economy as it is right now in sl is a inflation. due to the fact, that resell business's sell shit to every joe and shmoe, for low prices or even free. people are stealing textures and skin textures from big designers to make a ' freebie or resell item' for the next one. people don't care about the designers work anymore. it's a dam hustle for pennies on SL right now.
land doesn't sell as it used too, because some sim owners, make 12 some plots in their ancient sims, sell these plots for free and get their tierfee plus some extra $L from their residents. the fear, why most people don't buy from private sims anymore is because the sim owner can pull the plug at any given time and you will lose your investment of rl $.
yet the casino guys and their customers, this is a biggie LL. in the end i am sure LL will bite their dam knuckles, because they are losing millions of rl $, due to the business's moving out of sl.

and imho, should be the first getting out of sl. there are many online websites where you can sit your fat ass on a live webcam and charge some deprived fool some money to see you shaking your titties. yet it is easier in sl, you don't need your own website, no you just place an ad and tell them " i have skype and a webcam " and voila, business is going. and it seems its going well for most of them.
i am almost thinking homeland security has entered SL, we are now all being watched on what we do, and if we do wrong - report us to the big brother.
someone has mentioned in the comments about the pertaining LL blog, that people will make underground casinos, something like selling moonshine in coffecups?
but how is that suppose to work. the casino owner and the gambler are not friends. they are actually enemies. to see if you can beat the casino owners machine. where is the gambling thrill when you know you can only win limited money at some underground establishment. yes, its not the same.
and who knows, there may be snitches or a disgruntled " underground member " who blackmails the underground casino owner for more money or else.
it is a no win situation and to be honest - you LL just shuffled your own dam grave!

i made it, i was one sl year old yesterday!
just to reflect back to all the thing that did happen in this one year. it has been a wild ride. from meeting romana who taught me how to add prims and prims together, make things, build things. layout a city, my creation of " section 8 ".
my first days as a hostess, working in a club called "cherish" for 30L/hr, learning and perfecting the hostess/ crowd getter/ dancer managements skills. it was a dam stressful job, and i worked so dam much and made my first 10k in the world, by working nonstop. then i've meet alicia, and she hired me and i've gotten paid 500L/ per 2 hour event at a club called " catacombs ".
i remember back then i was so stressed with that club job and drama, that i've rented a little cottage in one of the most beautilful mainland sims, in cabera. my landlady name " ravenyin " was one amazing builder, poet, dreamer - she didnt complain one bit when i didnt knew jack about prim allowance and my stuff landed somewhere in her sim , due to misplacement. and there was also the the famous sim right next to cabera, called " tusk", which got accidently deleted by the owner. it was crazy! tusk in these days was the sim for all gothik and fans of darkness. this was some original shit.
then i made a shitload of money with these hippiepay machines,on a 512 sq plot, but i mass tp'd every joe and shmoe in to get them to fill out those surveys and they sure did. this was all in "ambrosia", at one time i had 6k traffic at one night, tp'ing noobs in. back then i didnt know how to make a ' give notecard box ', lol..i did it all manually, camped my 512 sq land and gave everyone a card by hand. explained 1 mill times on how to work these atm's.
i was very successful for a little over a month, til all the copykats came out and around, trying to steal peoples traffic. i fought like a mad woman, shot all these sneaky retards of my land. sometimes i had 4 some dudes on me, and these battles lasted for a long time, but i got em. i was just protecting my business ;)
so yea, i made about 60K, maybe even more, also the land buy and sales went pretty well. i think all in all i had about 80k to start out with "section 8" in topgol.
i bought land and land there in topgol, wanted to make a arabic escort club ( lawls), bought so much shit i didnt needed. damani design builds, i mean just crapola. the land back then was at the most expensive ever. around 12K for a 512 plot. so, to start with section 8, i bought land like mad. i think i had about 10K left, and my land holdings went up to $40 a month for a 1/8 sim.
romana just moved to topgol as well. and we met, and had ideas... that developed pretty quickly. in the meantime, the wanna be philly ppls made an city in the back. and i remember this chic paige and max, they came to my land nonstop to get ideas for old, dirty stuff. they were some off the wall people, for sure.
i kept section 8 for about 5 month. i met the most interesting people there , that are sill friends, even tho we are all in different directions in sl. but they made section 8 even more better. i sold it to alex burgess and topgol now is so off the wall. this is the real deal, thats philadelphia. if you haven't seen it yet, go to topgol and check it out. the best mainland sim there is.
once i left section 8, romana somewhat went into hiding as well. she was so kickass and i miss her terribly. that woman even made a " WAWA" shop in south philly. these are such good memories and i strolled down the memory lane last night after ston and me beat each other in ' mahjong '.
yea speaking of ston, we've been hanging out again. we are both to crazy for sl, maybe thats why we get along so well. because we are moody, nonstop artists and always brainstorming.
his new builds are off the wall btw. i have to take some really good pics. its for a special group o' people who can appreciate the arts and " dub" music and his sl pup that shits nonstop all over the place. the 'french' on sl are known to be amazing builders. look around and see, 'Yadni Monde" anyone?!
yep... the guy can build and builds so fast, its crazy.
anyhow before my memory line stroll, we spend crazy times playing mahjong. ston is officially addicted to the game, just like me. we play as partners and it is major fun, while correcting each other on moves we make.

no doubt about it. i continued my weekend, by clubbing nonstop at club allure, which has officially now closed its doors. yes the club is no more, and it was fun while it lasted. i had 4 days of full fun, exhausted ? yes, but it was good times to just chill and relax, explore and meeting new people. talking, exchanging thoughts on whatever.
i started my sl day today by joining in to an african event. "dainie" who is/ was the dj and ceo if club allure, played some smashing african tunes. the house was full with people from all countries, from africa, morocco ( representing ), to the netherlands, jamaica, west indies, england, usa.
she played songs i've never heard before, some amazing african deeply lyrical songs, which she explained to us, while speaking on the mic what these songs ment to her and its meaning in general.
there aren't many moroccan artists i know out there who fall into " club music ", so i went with my requests from " cheb mami & khaled, who sing in french/ arabic. i love cheb mami, been a lover of his music for many years. the atmosphere was so chill, everyone loved the trip to africa, people dressed up in authentic clothing. i wore my arab outfit, whom are hard to find because most everything that would include a veil or burqa would be considered "gor". but what i had on ( as seen on the pic below ) is a very detailed arabic themed outfit, which i had for a while and was made by " elle zaftig from bellissima designs ". its pricy but worth it.
of course there are always people at big venues like they had today, that i really didnt want to see. i ran into two people which i can't stand with a passion. but i was to hyped to even give them the benefit of the doubt. btw in the middle in the above pic, this is " dainie" in blue, an amazing woman and dj. ( i am the one in green ).
the day and night went on and on... i've met so many dam new people, not just in the club, but also later on in the crackden, it was almost overwhelming. the hermit, i usually am, always working on somthing in sl, always trying to create some more and better shit, yet i let my guards down in these past couple of days and went all out and just be myself, my other me, the party me.
people just came up to me and we talked about everything under the sun, mostly held in im, because the spatial chat was full of emotes and singing and talking of this packed club.
i've met a guy there who was really interesting because he got brainsss.
he is from overseas and we had a fantastic conversation. a guy that could relate to my herritage, because he has been to morocco, and even my fathers village named " Tetouan " ( which is about an hour away from Tangier ), the very northern part of morocco, and yets very close to spain. we talked about politics, the difference of people from overseas versus americans, went from there to sex erotique talk, just everything under the sun while we danced and grinded our pixel bodies against one another.
he is a cool and nice guy and i loved the conversation we had. i guess its true.. converstation is the yin and yang to everything out there. ( and yes if you read this, you know who you are, you were right, there are many av's reppin the same skin, lol )

anyhow this is not the end, maybe a new start, maybe a new gala will scratch the surfaces of sl. by not working so dam hard and making sl a more fun place, meeting people, exchanging thoughts and mind explosions. i am gonna find a new playground with reggae, reaggeton, old skool rap. some people already told me about some other clubs which are not allure but still they ambiente is nice, the ppls are cool and i will so check these out and again " have some fuckin fun in sl"!

to bad they are closing this cool place, but there are many more. club owners from other places came in there. i was asked if i wanted to be a dancer in their clubs several times these past two days. hell i may even do that, on my own pace, when i want.
allure people are dam cool, many jamaicans, west indies and african heads were in there. i've met some cool guys, my friends list went up like kaboom. so many new peoples, so much to talk about. i am still having all the beats, lots of original reggae ringing in my ears. vitamin s anyone?
so yea its sad that they are about to close. its a new found favorite place. but life goes on. tomorrow's party will be smashing! well today rather. it starts at 1PM SLT and will go all night long til they close the doors for good.

this happens so many times on sl, where you see residents porting, tp'ng into a place and they are just so out of shape. missing images, men with skintight jeans, ueber huge shoes and/ or missing skin and so on.
some have better graphic cards then others, yea yea i understand all that.
BUT...
if you been around sl for a while, or better yet come to a crowed place, go to appearance upon entering a new place and click all the buttons on your left hand side of your appearance screen... or better yet click " ctrl alt d ", go into client on your toolbar, character, and rebake rebake yourself.
sl is all about looks and maintaining an nice to look at avartar. may be superficial to some, but if we wouldn't like sl so much, and shop til we drop to make our 3d pixel skins look even better, we may would not participate in the sl world.
no, we may play WoW or Go Fishin' on yahoo, where no one cares what you look like, unless in WoW, you pride yourself with epic armor, to show off in the horde or alliance places and have the noobs drool over your " toon".
even tho' the epic gear is not player created but a part of " world of warcraft ", its a " look at me - i am cool, i solo'd zulda " or whatever place, and now i can look like you too.
there is no fashion cow tipping in mmorgs, only what blizzard, sony entertanment, ncsoft and more online gaming companies provide for you, in their already completed, finished end product game.
but in sl... you better get ya av's into something nice, different or outragous, be a part of the crowd or stand out of the crowd.
there is no limits on what you can do, to make yourself look " good ".
but not like this... spare me these looks.......and don't walk around me for five minutes or even try to talk to me, when you look like that.
